I specialize in working with teenagers, college students, couples, and adults with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.  “It is a privilege and honor to walk alongside my clients to guide, encourage, and empower them in identifying their strengths, resources, and abilities to make the changes they desire.

When working with teenagers and college students, I believe in establishing a relationship built on honest communication and trust.  This is a crucial time of figuring out who you are and who you want to become.   At a time when there are a lot of pressures, expectations, and decisions you have to make, I want to be available to support, teach, and challenge you to reach your goals and dreams.

When working with adults, I provide a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe environment which allows clients to explore their feelings and thoughts, past hurts, and patterns of behavior that may serve as barriers in their relationships and goals in life.  I want to truly hear your story, help you understand it, and support you through the process.   I want to challenge you to move forward in the direction you desire in order to be all you can be.

When working with couples, I teach effective communication skills, help you explore past hurts that may be resulting in a disconnect from one another, encourage you to reconnect through learning more about one another’s thoughts, feelings and needs, and inspire you to laugh and play together.

I have been providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, college students, adults, couples, and families for 25 years. I use a client focused, supportive approach, integrating a variety of techniques including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). My approach is strengths based and solution focused. I believe in providing my clients with practical tools that they can use throughout the week and a sense of hope that they can accomplish making the changes they desire.

I have been married to her husband for 27 years and have two young adult children. I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, card making, and spending time with family and friends.
