I would like to praise you for taking your first step in achieving balanced mental health. This can be a difficult step to take and one that may be necessary. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I specialize in treating ages three to twenty-one. I also have extensive training in trauma, treating ADHD and working with families to achieve balance and healthy boundaries. I can provide Adoption Competent therapy and Trauma Informed interventions. The numerous trauma seminars I have attended make me a good fit for any person looking to process grief, loss, trauma, or stressful situations.

I utilize sand tray techniques, play interventions, art, talk and various other interventions to aid youth and adults alike to make progress towards their goals. I am currently accepting new clients and am flexible in my schedule. If you or someone you know is struggling feel free to contact me to discuss the therapy I provide to determine if it is a good fit.

Q What is the importance of addressing trauma at a young age?

It is important to address trauma experienced early, due to the effects that unprocessed trauma has on the brain. The ACEs study is one of the most recent and important studies that has linked Adverse Childhood Events to various co-morbid physical conditions at a later age. It is important to take advantage of the brain's ability to build new neurons to react to triggers, trauma and emotions related to experiences that are triggering to help the youth have a healthier response when faced with memories related to loss, trauma or grief.
