Q About our therapists

April is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been working with individuals in the community for over 5 years. April believes the client is the expert in their own lives. At the same time, she believes people can benefit from the objective direction of others in order to process thoughts and feelings, and to learn and adapt new skills into daily functioning.
April has been trained in Narrative Therapy, a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help people identify their own values and knowledge, while separating the problem story from the individual. She also has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which offers skill training in emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
April has experience working with a variety of populations within the community including: individuals coping with chronic pain; depression, anxiety, bipolar and PTSD; gender non-conforming folks; and those in need of support regarding social and family issues that may negatively influence their well-being and sense of self.

Molly is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has been working in mental health for over 5 years. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and is a certified facilitator with Prepare and Enrich program, a resource to help empower premarital and married couples.
Molly believes that the most important goal of therapy is to provide clients with a comfortable, safe, and peaceful environment to help make positive changes. It is her belief that therapy is a very individualistic experience and requires understanding, empathy, and flexibility.
Molly has experience working with children, teens and adolescents, ranging between 5 years and 21 years old, as well as adults, couples and families. Molly has worked with individuals within the LGBTQ community and others in various partnerships, such as blended families, polyamorous couples and people in co-parenting relationships. Working with individuals navigating a wide range of issues, including depression, relationship issues, trauma and anxiety, Molly also has helped support other individuals working in the mental health field through counseling.
