“We don’t have to do it all alone, we were never meant to”- Brene Brown
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist it is my highest priority to create a safe, empathic and non-judgmental space for you to explore, process, and ultimately move forward from challenges in your life. I have been in practice since 2015 and have been licensed since 2019 and recently opened up my private practice in Midtown right by Sutter’s Fort.
I am here to support you as you bravely confront painful memories, thoughts and feelings in your therapeutic journey. I believe seeking therapy takes monumental courage and is a huge step towards mental wellness. I work with adult individuals, teenagers, and couples.
In addition to creating safe non-judgmental, and genuine relationship, I utilize a variety of treatment approaches in my practice. I work with a wide range of issues, and I specialize in trauma and grief/bereavement therapy.
I am certified in Brainspotting, a body and brain based therapy that can release and resolve traumatic memory from the body and brain. Brainspotting can help a wide spectrum of issues including abuse/trauma, anxiety and depression and so on. I am trained in phases 1 – 4 as well as certified in Brainspotting and believe highly in the efficacy of this treatment.
Additionally, I have training in Somatic Experiencing, which focuses on the body experience of emotions as I believe the brain-body connection is an integral part of wholistic healing and central to a full therapeutic experience. Our bodies store and experience our thoughts and memories just like our brains. A combination of Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting in always in the pretense of an authentic relationship embodies the approach of my treatment.
I am passionate, motivated and willing to learn from each and every story.
