My therapeutic work is based on the belief that healing and growth happen in relationship with others.  I will work collaboratively with you to help you find joy, meaning and inner peace in your daily life and your relationships.

I believe in the resiliency of the mind, body and spirit and I draw from a neurobiological perspective and attachment theory. I also utilize Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and other mindfulness based practices. This means we will focus on your present experiences, and look for solutions in the present, but we will also look together at how the past might be impacting the present to support changes you want to make.

In couples work I help couples and intimate partners have more satisfying and healthy romantic and sexual relationships. I work with couples in all stages of a relationship to facilitate connection, re-connection and closeness. Just as children have an attachment bond with parents, couples develop an attachment bond with one another. A relationship can be a place to provide love, comfort, support and protection. But when not feeling connected, when mis-trust or a lack of emotional safety get in the way, we can become anxious, fearful, numb, distant or angry. All couples have a dance, a cycle. It is this cycle or repeating pattern of negative behaviors, thoughts and feelings that can cause distress and heartache. Understanding and untangling your negative cycle can be a first step in climbing out of distress. People grow and change~ and stay connected during it all. It is possible.

I look forward to hearing from you to see if it feels like a good fit.

Q How long have you been practicing?

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with 14 years of experience. I hold a Masters of Science degree in Counseling from San Francisco State University. I have over 12 years of experience in community mental health and over 2 years in private practice. I have provided therapy for children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.

Q Do you offer telehealth, in-person therapy or both?

I am currently only offering telehealth (video sessions). I will be offering in person again in 2023.

Q Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately no, I do not take insurance in my private practice. For your convenience, upon request, I can provide a “Superbill” to you for you to submit to your insurance company in order to get reimbursed directly from them. Some insurance companies will do this, some will not. I suggest calling your insurance company directly to see what services are covered.

Q Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15 minute consultation as a chance to see if it feels like a good enough fit for a first session and to see if I can be helpful to you.

  • Price Range - My fees are $140 for 50 minute individual sessions & $180 for 50 minute couples sessions.
