I value relational therapy, multicultural systems, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ affirmative care for adults and teens with whom I work. I work with individuals, couples, and families in my practice. I also offer ADHD testing.
I find it useful to approach treatment through combining your goals for change, as well as aiming to get to know yourself better as the foundation for therapy.
I have training and experience working with transgender and nonbinary adults and teens, as well as their support systems (partners, families, children.) I am also qualified to provide consultation and evaluation services in order to furnish documentation needed for medical transitioning by various providers and insurance companies. I routinely provide consultation and trainings to mental health professionals and school professionals in clinical and educational settings on providing LGBTQ- and transgender/nonbinary- affirmative care.
I received my doctorate in psychology from the Wright Institute (Berkeley, CA) in 2016. Throughout my training, I worked in various community mental health settings, as well as hospitals and assessment programs. My predoctoral internship was done at Integrated Health Psychology Training Program at Contra Costa Medical Center in Martinez, CA; I completed my postdoctoral residency at Kaiser Vacaville / Vallejo, CA. I continue to work at Kaiser Fairfield, CA as a Gender Specialist, as well as a clinical and psychological testing supervisor for the postdoctoral program.
