This is a hard time to be a kid, particularly a neurodiverse kid that feels they don’t fit in with others. I offer kids a safe place to explore their strengths and their fears, and learn strategies for coping.
I offer in-person and online therapy for neurodiverse kids and teens. My emphasis is on teaching practical strategies that are evidence-based and work! My approach is cognitive behavioral, meaning that we focus on challenging negative thought patterns to feel better and change behavior.
I also offer online ADHD coaching for kids, teens and young adult that need support with organizational skills, procrastination, motivation, and time management.
If you’d like to teach your child tangible, specific tools for coping that will last a lifetime, please reach out!
I am supervised by Dr. Kimberly Miller, PhD, ABPP (Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology, CA Psychologist License #23018)
QI went to therapy before and it was like talking to a friend. The therapist was nice but I don't know if I learned any specific tools. How is this different?
There are different types of therapy, and different types fit better for different personalities. If you want an approach that is active, guides you in specific exercises, and teaches tools for coping, cognitive behavioral therapy is likely a good fit for you.
