It takes courage to seek help, especially amongst adolescents. We live in an emerging society where social media runs rampant, creating comparison, jealousy, and low self worth. Humans are in search of feeling understood, and connected, and I aim to help your teen feel that way. Some adolescents are born with a “trickier” brain. My goal in working with adolescents with ADHD is to help them hone in on their gifts of creativity, while also harnessing a much needed disciplined set of organizational skills to stay on track not only academically, but executive functioning skills in daily living as well.
Grief, loss, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and post-traumatic stress are all areas of life that I would like to help you process. Treatment would be prescriptive based on what I feel a client needs, ranging from talk therapy, Distress Behavioral Tolerance training, Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, etc.
