Hi! It is not always easy to ask others for help and here you are having the courage to do so. My name is Jessica Clark, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in California for 12 years. I graduated from CSU Chico in 2009 and started out as a social worker in youth mentoring programs in my graduate program internships to being in the field working with parents and at-risk youth in alternative schools, group homes, foster care, families in the local community and incarcerated individuals.

My approach in helping clients is to guide them in reconnecting with what is important to them in life and how to focus their energy on those important things. This is based on the perspective of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as it uses a wide variety of interventions to help people understand their own relationship with their thoughts, how to shift that relationship and be able to move towards living a valued life. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy to guide and teach those I work with in making the connection between their thoughts, feelings, emotions and how those impact and influence their own behavior. Solutions Focused Therapy is also something I use to empower people to tap into their own abilities to resolve life’s challenges. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that involves paying attention to what is working for my clients and using the interventions that are most helpful to the individual I am working with.

Sessions will provide you with the space to feel what you need to feel. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to gain clarity and express your thoughts and feelings.

It’s important to me to provide a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and check in on your progress as we go. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to Therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
