It can be uncomfortable and difficult to walk into a therapist’s office and share your thoughts and feelings, especially if they are upsetting. At some point in each of our lives, we will need someone to walk with us for a while. Therapy is about me walking with you. I have always loved people and I am gifted in connecting with others, helping them see how valuable they are, no matter what they are going through.

I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #4753), registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Clinical supervision is done by Carla Stone, LMFT #51743 and John Branderhorst, LMFT #42823. I have a B.A. in Leadership from William Jessup University, a Master’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Brandman University.  Sessions are held in a Midtown Sacramento or Rocklin location, as well as online Telehealth Therapy (video conferencing) to California residents.

Q Is there a cost for the first session?

There is no charge for an in-person 30-minute initial consultation at both the Rocklin and Midtown Sacramento locations. These sessions are helpful to meet each other, ask questions, and find out if it is a good fit for working together. A good connection with your therapist can make a huge difference in moving forward.

Q How much experience do you have?

I have 18 years experience working with adolescents within a church ministry and school setting, 8 years of experience with couples and adults, and 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. My focus as a therapist is to serve clients by offering a trusting and judgment-free connection through all of the ups and downs that life includes.

Q What kinds of clients do you work with?

I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative, and a Psychodynamic approach to work with youth and adults experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, codependency, grief, major life transitions, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and leadership and spirituality issues.
