I work with people who want to change their relationship patterns on a fundamental level. You may want to change your relationships with other people or with yourself. Either way, I can support you.

If you have been in many (or just one) toxic, unsatisfying or traumatizing relationships, and just do not seem able to pick a healthy partner I can help. We will collaborate to identify what is stuck and deconstruct your patterns. We heal the wounds from the past, and work to build a healthier future.

I have training as a Domestic Violence counselor and helping survivors to recover from abuse and assault and to become empowered has always been a passion of mine.

Now, I work with a broader range of toxic relationship recovery.

I also love to work with people who do not fit relationship or societal norms. I welcome members of the kink community, Poly identifying folks, sex workers, Queer and LGBTQQI identifying folks and all the kids who were made fun of in high school.

I use a EMDR as a tool in my practice to help in stuck places and move healing along. EMDR is a trauma treatment that makes traumatic events and memories feel less upsetting. It is magic!

Healing is possible.

Q How often should I be coming to therapy?

I recommend weekly sessions, at least to start off. You would be surprised how much can happen in one week, and when we space it out anymore updating me can eat up a lot of session time. Weekly sessions allows us to build trust more quickly, to go deeper, and to do a whole lot more work in a shorter amount of time.

Q Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance. Insurance requires me to give you a diagnosis that can follow you around as a "pre-existing condition." Also, insurance often limits the amount of time you can be in therapy.
Paying out of pocket gives you more control over your therapeutic process, and importantly, over your medical records

Q How long will I need to be in therapy?

Ultimately that is up to you. Talk to your therapist and come up with goals and a plan for knowing when you have reached them. Having a plan for how to check in and monitor progress is a good idea too!
Therapy is a commitment to yourself. You get out of it what you put into it. Your therapist cannot fix you or do the changing for you. So, the best way to maximize your returns is to be an active participant.
