Body Image Therapists

The term body image refers to a person’s internalized view of their body. If it is a negative one, it can lead to issues with self-esteem, self-doubt, and, worst case scenario, disorders like body dysmorphic disorder and/or eating disorders. Often times people who have a negative body image have trauma, shame, depression, and/or anxiety issues in their history. Therapy can help with these problems and assist in building self-esteem and healthy coping skills.
