Eating Disorder Therapists
Eating disorders can arise for many reasons, but chief among them are issues with body image, self-esteem, and self-confidence. Eating disorders are defined by having unhealthy attitudes, views, and behaviors around food and one’s body. For example, someone with an eating disorder may eat very little, to the point of unhealthy weight loss, or they may binge, possibly purging their food afterwards. Extreme weight loss, or gain, may be warning signs of eating disorders. Someone struggling with an eating disorder will often obsess over intake of calories or food eaten.
