Borderline personality disorder is characterized by extreme behavior and shifting severe moods, actions, and/or views and values. Someone who suffers from this disorder may behave very impulsively, have dramatic shifts in behavior or attitude, and often times has trouble with relationships due to fears of abandonment, intense emotional shifts, and/or problems with trusting others.
