Therapists Who Practice Jungian Therapy

Carl Jung is a well-known forefather of analytical psychology, and pioneered some very unique concepts in psychology. Some of them are: 1) Active Imagination-diving into the subconscious through imagination, 2) Individuation-becoming one’s best self through various methods, possibly including active imagination, dream analysis, and talk therapy, 3) The Collective Unconscious- Jung believed that all living beings with a nervous system share a wealth of information subconsciously, 4) The divide between logos (fact) and subconscious experience (mythos), and 5) Nekyia-a journey into the unconscious he deemed dangerous but necessary. A therapist who practices Jungian therapy may not necessarily adhere to all of Jung’s views, but is knowledgeable and open to such ideas.
