We all know someone who has been affected by addiction. It effects people from all walks of life and can have some pretty negative consequences. A person is usually said to be addicted to something when they feel compelled to do something that is causing them harm, despite possible attempts or desire to stop. Therapy for addiction typically revolves around recognizing triggers, planning ahead for them, building healthy coping skills, helping people build/rebuild healthy connections with people, and exploring/working on any personal history that may play a part in the addiction.
